Homework Club
A Homework Club operates in the Resource Centre, Main St., Bantry during the school year and gives a safe and secure place for children to do their homework under supervision.Once the homework is complete, the children can play games, take part in fun activities, choose from the available selection of board games and books etc. The Homework Club encourages the older children to help the younger ones; this helps to build their esteem and confidence and improves social interaction between children. As we take students from all the local schools, the Homework Club is a good setting for children to get to know others their own age who attend different schools; this helps to make the transition to second level less daunting.
As most of the children come straight from school, we provide a snack when they arrive. We promote healthy eating, so sweets and fizzy drinks etc. are not allowed. The Homework Club is open to primary and national school children aged 7 years and over. It runs on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 3pm to 5pm. Application forms are available in Reception or contact Anna Fitzgerald for further information.

Friday Arts Club
On Fridays we run an Arts Club for the children. It gives them an opportunity to express themselves through art and craft work and the children have an input into what projects the club will undertake. While priority for places in the Arts Club is given to the children who attend the Homework Club, we do enrol children for just the Friday Arts Club.Younger school-going children (under 7 years) often start with the Friday Arts Club and join the Homework Club when they move into higher classes and they start getting more homework.
