West Cork Development Partnership provides a range of supports to local community groups who have identified an issue or a common purpose and have come together to address the issue or to put in place a peer support group.
Groups that are currently being supported at the Resource Centre cover a range of issues including addiction, mental health issues, childcare supports, bereavement, parenting, counselling, youth issues, positive health, we also have a group who share hints and tips on growing veg at home.
Supports offered to groups include: meeting space, access to publicity through our Community Newsletter, advice on starting and running a group, financial management and back up facilities i.e. use of computer, photocopier etc.

Bantry Community Newsletter
This is a monthly newsletter and highlights the existence of community groups, their activities and how to access them. The newsletter is circulated in the Bantry area and is available free of charge in local shops, businesses and surgeries. It also contains a ‘Know Your Rights’ section from the Citizens Information Service and carries helpful hints on managing your money from West Cork Money Advice and Budgeting Service.
