19 stands will provide information at a Self-Employment Information Event in the Castle Hotel Macroom on Tuesday 11 June from 11am – 3pm. These will include the Rubicon Centre, Macroom e, UCC, CIT, AIB, Bank of Ireland, Macroom Credit Union, Citizens Information, County Cork VEC, West Cork Development Partnership, EmployAbility Cork, Theresa O’Mahony Accountant, West Cork Mabs, fastnetwebdesign, South Cork and the Lee Valley Enterprise Boards, Udaras na Gaeltachta, Dept of Social Protection and O’Mahony Donnelly Walsh Insurance Brokers.
Workshops will take place from 12pm to 2pm and will include Courses for Business (VEC, Greenshoots, SCEB, Rubicon); How to acccess both public and private finance (Paul Healy, Rubicon Centre); the roles and responsibilities of taking on employees (CIS) and two case-studies on businesses up and running in the Macroom area (Ed Donovan & Padraig o’Driscoll).
