Only 4 places left!! ‘Community Development & Advocacy’ training course


The ‘Community Development & Advocacy’ is a six day training programme which is being offered to interested parties in the West Cork region. It is envisaged that this course will support an understanding of the value of advocacy as a tool of community development and social inclusion. It is being delivered by DESSA and is accredited by Sligo Institute of Technology and equates with the Disability Studies Module within the higher certificate course in Advocacy Studies,(FETAC level 6). The course will be delivered in three 2 -day sessions on the following dates:
Session One: Monday 26th September - 11am to 5pm; Tuesday 27th September - 10am to 4pm
Session Two: Tuesday 11th October – 11am to 5pm; Wednesday 12th October - 10am to 4pm
Session Three: Tuesday 8th November – 10am to 4pm; Wednesday 9th November - 10am to 4pm

The venue for the course will be in the VEC Offices, The Quays, Bantry(attached to the Maratime Hotel). There are 20 places available on the course so it is advised that if you would like to take part you need to register as soon as possible.
