This course will be of interest to local community groups, historical societies & environmental groups that are actively involved or would like to get involved in heritage related projects in their area.
This course will run for 3 hours, one night a week, starting November 2012 until January 2013.
Fieldtrips & Workshops will also form part of the course. The cost of the course will be €50.
The venue of the course will be BANTRY.
The course will comprise three modules:
1. An introduction to the heritage of West Cork (Archaeology, Local History, Researching heritage, etc.)
2. Care and Maintenance of Heritage (Conserving built heritage, Workshop in issues in heritage management etc.)
3. Capacity Building (Making a Heritage Plan, walking routes and trails, etc.)
