Call for Proposals – Community Recreational Amenities

We are currently seeking Expressions of Interest from suitable local community organisations for the development of Community Recreational Amenities. Project Proposals should have a broad appeal, promote quality of life, social interaction and be accessible to the widest possible range of users. Projects should aim to incorporate:

Health and Fitness – Walks, Multi-Aged Facility etc.

Active Spaces – Accessible Play or Exercise Areas etc.

Passive Spaces – Promotes Biodiversity, Sensory Landscaping etc.

Innovation – Equipment and Design etc.

Proposals are welcome from locations with existing facilities in need of upgrade or new locations where there is an identified need. Projects can be integrated with existing amenities and can support the tourism product in the area.

Following the Call for Proposals, potential projects will be short-listed and then matched with a Mentor to assist them in the final consultation and design of the Community Recreational Amenity. Capital Investment for eligible Projects is available at 75% with the matching 25% coming from the local community.
