National Trails Day 2011 is going to be run on Sunday, 2nd of October which means it’s time to start planning events again! After the success of last year, it is hoped that 200 trail events will be organised on trails right around the country – giving people a chance to come out and enjoy the growing network of walking and cycling trails being developed around the country. Events can include walking, cycling, horseback riding, canoeing, orienteering, local conservation work and much more …as long as it’s related to a trail in your area!
If you have organised an event on previous years we’d like to thank you again for this and encourage you to consider running another event this year, building on the experience you have gained from last time.
If you are organising an event for the first time, you are most welcome to become involved. We would encourage you to read the attached document, visit the website www.nationaltrailsday.ie for more information and read the event organiser guide that is on the website.
